Editor's note to the
neuroscience article Progress During the Decade
of the Brain

With this reprint from
the National Institute of Mental Health, TAJnet initiates its section on
neuroscience. We hope this will help clarify an area that has enormous
implication for the mental health professions and one which many
psychotherapists have only a passing familiarity. We trust this section will
both interest and inform about the basics and also about new advances.
